Tune in Tuesday: Random Playlist {4}

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger of G Reads Books.  This month's special topic for Tune in Tuesday is Random Playlist.

To participate:
Random Playlists Special Edition: Open up your music library (iTunes?) and pick a song at random from your collection to feature with us.  The choice can be as eclectic as you want it to be!  Share one song, or share a couple songs.  (copied from Ginger's Features Page)

So, after sitting through proctoring state mandated testing for the last week and a half, I needed to listen to some positive songs...or my version of positive...something to perk me up.  Here ya go:

Keep Your Head Up by Andy Grammer

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Monty Python
The theme from Footloose by Kenny Loggins

The theme from Caddyshack (I'm alright) by Kenny Loggins
Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da by The Beatles
U Can't Touch This (I listen to the Glee version, but MC Hammer is good too)

So, youtube is acting up on my computer today and running really slow, so for now, I don't have the videos to go with the songs.  If I get time later, I'll update with videos.

What's on your playlist?

So, you know how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover?  Well, you shouldn't judge a song by its cover (or the cover by the original).  My playlist for today includes my favorite cover songs....

Addicted To Love covered by Florence + the Machine
Ain't No Sunshine covered by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (really, any song by them)
Barbara Ann covered by the janitors on Scrubs

Everyday People covered by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

Flowers on the Wall covered by Eric Heatherly
Hey Ya covered by Obadiah Parker
I Will Always Love You covered by Stephanie Block
Yellow covered by Jem
What's your favorite cover?

So....here ya go!  This week, I decided to make a short playlist, and here is what I came up with when I put iTunes on shuffle....

1.  About 10 chapters from various Harry Potter audiobooks

(my favorite Hillywood Show episode...MIIIIIIIIS)

2.  Margarittaville by Jimmy Buffett

3.  Fishing in the Dark by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
This song screams "Summer!" to me

4.  Stop!  In the Name of Love by Diana Ross and the Supremes

5.  Young by Kenny Chesney
Watch that and try not to do the "woo woo" part...

6.  Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows

So....here ya go!  Here is my random song for the day!

Rumor Has It by Adele
I love Adele's voice, its so unique!  When I heard first heard this song, I thought, "Oh poor thing.  Her guy is cheating on her."  Then when I got to the ending, I thought, "OH!  She's leaving him!  Good for her!"  And then t
o hear Adele at the beginning of this clip explain that its really a song about idle chitchat (gossip) puts it into a whole different perspective for me.
