14 May 2012

Its late, but its Monday!

Its Monday!  What are you reading?  From Picture Books to YA is a weekly feature hosted by Jen and Kellee of Teach Mentor Texts and inspired by Its Monday!  What are you reading by Sheila at Book Journeys.

This past week...
I read, Insurgent by Veronica Roth, Amelia Bedelia Goes Camping by Peggy Parish and Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore.

I got a stack of books from the library for the Virginia Reader's Choice,

The Lemonade Crime, I survived the sinking of The Titanic, Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, Waiting for the Magic, Forgive Me I Meant to do it, The Junkyard Wonders, Magnus Maximus A Marvelous Measurer.

The 3rd Harry Potter audiobook became available again for checkout, so I picked that up at the library.

My copy of Born Wicked also came in the mail.  I feel like something else did too, but I can't remember what...

This week:
is going to be very busy!  We started our end of year state testing, and I generally take a small group to read the test aloud each day.

May 15:  Tune in Tuesday {3}: Don't judge a song by its cover
May 17:  Review:  Bitterblue
May 18:  My thoughts on ALA winners (that I've read so far)

What are you reading?

  1. Looking forward to your Bitterblue review.
And your picture book stack made me want to go get my own- I have been neglecting picture books.

    Happy reading this week :)

  2. Anxious to hear your thoughts on Bitterblue!
Don't you just *love* state testing?! We have our last day tomorrow...I can't wait to have it all behind me!

  3. Wow, you read Insurgent and Bitterblue last week? THose are some seriously thick books! I just love Where the Mountain Meets the Moon and the Harry Potter audiobooks. I will be interested in hearing what you think of Born Wicked. I've been wanting to read that.

Gold stars given to good comments.
