It's Monday! What are you reading? From Picture Books to YA

Its Monday!  What are you reading?  From Picture Books to YA is a weekly feature hosted by Jen and Kellee of Teach Mentor Texts and inspired by Its Monday!  What are you reading by Sheila at Book Journeys.

I'm still reading Song of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones, Book 2).  I downloaded 2 aps that were supposed to help out with the map and characters.  But, you have to pay for the good stuff.  So, I'm a little disappointed in that.  The book is going great.  I like the 1st book better, but for some reason, I've notice that I'm not a fan of the second book in a series.  To me, they just aren't as good.  But, I'm going to keep reading the series!

This past week's posts:

25 Days of Holiday Book Reviews has started and I can't be happier about it!  If you don't know what this is, from December 1-25, I have 25 different people (favorite bloggers, family members, friends, coworkers and authors) writing about their favorite holiday book (or book that they like to read around the holiday season).  Make sure you check back each day for a different book/review/person!

  1. The thing with Game of Thrones is that every other one seems to slow down the pace and get really complicated. Hang in there because book 3 is INSANE. I just finished Dash and Lily's Book of Dares-finally a Christmas book I loved! Here's my list (note that A Dance With Dragons is *still* on there.

  2. I just cannot summon enthusiasm for the Game of Thrones series...but I need to try, because my students adore them. Sigh.

  3. I like your Christmas idea. Will try to check back for more! I just don't have time for Game of Thrones, but my daughter loved it.
