Its Monday! What are you reading? From picture books to YA

Its Monday!  What are you reading?  From Picture Books to YA is a weekly feature hosted by Jen and Kellee of Teach Mentor Texts and inspired by Its Monday!  What are you reading by Sheila at Book Journeys.

This past week:
I read Lola and the Boy Next Door (Stephanie Perkins), The Wish Stealers (Tracy Trivas), The Flint Heart (Katherine Patterson).  I really loved Lola and The Wish Stealers, but I'm having a really hard time finishing (heck, getting into) The Flint Heart

May 21: Its Monday! post
May 22:  Tune in Tuesday--my pick me up songs
May 23:  Review:  Squish 3: The Power of the Parasite
May 24:  Robin Hood books
May 25:  Relay for Life (it's not too late to donate here)

This coming week:
I'm going to stop putting off reading The Flint Heart, and hopefully start reading something else (I haven't decided what yet!)

May 28:  This post; Happy Memorial Day
May 29:  Tune in Tuesday {Random Playlist}
May 30:  Review:  The Girl in the Clockwork Collar
May 31:  Singing in reading class

What are you reading?

  2. Sad to hear about Flint Heart, but you are not the first person I've heard that from :(
Thanks for letting me know about Wish Stealers- sounds really good! Added to my TBR.
I loved Lola and Anna- great contemporary romance YA novels.

    Happy reading this week! :)

  3. I enjoyed Lola more than Anna, but both were fun. I did not enjoy The Flint Heart either! It was weird and kind of confusing. I guess if I had read the original it might have been bettter...but it didn't do it for me at all. I say ditch it and move onto something fun! :)
