Its Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA

Its Monday!  What are you reading?  From Picture Books to YA is a weekly feature hosted by Jen and Kellee of Teach Mentor Texts and inspired by Its Monday!  What are you reading by Sheila at Book Journeys.

This past week's posts:
March 5:  Its Monday Post
March 6:  Out of the Mouths of Babes {6}:  Geronimo Stilton and the Gold Medal Mystery
March 7:  Audiobook review:  Horton Halfpott...
March 8:  Thoughts on the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness
March 9:  Review:  Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
March 11:  In My Mailbox

This week:
I finished listening to the audiobook of:  Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison---early thoughts, loved reading the book, hearing someone else's voice in my head was a little weird.  Maybe I only like audiobooks when I haven't read them yet...
I finished reading:  The Wicked and The Just by Jillian Anderson Coats.  Early thoughts--I'm a big fan of historical fiction, but I had a hard time relating to characters.

The Green Valley Book Fair opened this past weekend.  If you are on the east coast, its worth the drive to come and go.  Books are usually 60-90% off.  Granted, they usually aren't brand new just released last Tuesday, but they aren't old (at least in children's and YA).  But they have EVERYTHING!  Cookbooks, craft books, history, photography, mystery, you name it!  They are only open certain times a year, so make sure to click the link and check out the schedule.  I'd love to show you around!

As of right now, I don't have much of anything planned, as you can see below.  I'll try to fill it in as the week goes!

March 12:  This post; Cover Reveal: My Super Sweet 16th Century Cover Reveal by Rachel Harris
March 13:  Got a cool infographic from the University of Southern California celebrating "March Into Literacy Month" that I wanted to share with you guys; YA March Madness
March 14:  My YA March Madness Picks--Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and Championship
March 15:
March 16:
March 17:  Happy St. Patrick's Day!
March 18:  In My Mailbox

  1. Green Valley Book Fair sounds like fun. Chicago has the Printer's Row Book Fair in June that I have only been to once but it was a lot of fun. I hope to go every year but then because school has just gotten out, I usually don't end up going. Maybe this year would be a great year to take the kids down.

  2. That time travel book sounds terrific. I love the way they give us a bit of history within the story. Thanks for the good excerpt from it. It certainly made me interested. Your reading list is broad & interesting. My students of a long time ago loved the 'Angus' book but not so much lately. Maybe I should re-introduce it! Thanks for all!

  3. Great reviews this week! I've wanted to read the Earl book for so long- I really need to push it up.

    Happy reading!
