Island of the Blue Dolphins! I can't believe I didn't remember that one, when I used to read it over and over again.

I loved Number the Stars! I can't believe I forgot about that one. And I remember that Where the Red Fern Grows made me cry every time I read it!

Great to see The Baby-Sitter's Club series on so many lists- I just adored that series. And Where The Red Fern Grows- just got edged out of my Top Ten, but that is one of my favourites.

The Babysitters Club, Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys, Black Stallion series, Billy and Blaze, Charlotte's Web, I could go on for awhile. It's amazing how many sweet memories come back with this question.
