In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi, The Story Siren, in which you post the books you bought, borrowed, were given, found, traded or otherwise got your grubby little hands on for that week.
Well, its upon us. Summer is almost over and school is getting ready to start. Heck, for some of you out there, school might have started already. In my county, teachers have started with work and professional days, but students don't start until the 6th of September. My second to last semester (!) of masters classes also starts in September. Because of these two things, I've gotten a lot of professional books this week.
For my masters class (text)
-The Reading Specialist by Rita M. Bean
Given (by my literacy coach and administration team)
-Using Picture Books to Teach Comprehension Strategies by Joanne Zimny
-Beyond the Names Chart: Using Children's Names for Word Study by Debbie Diller
-Test Talk: Integrating Test Preparation into Reading Workshop by Glennon Doyle Melton and Amy Greene
-Making Most of Small Groups: Differentiation for All by Debbie Diller
