It's Monday! What are you reading? From Picture Books to YA

Its Monday!  What are you reading?  From Picture Books to YA is a weekly feature hosted by Jen and Kellee of Teach Mentor Texts and inspired by Its Monday!  What are you reading by Sheila at Book Journeys.

I picked up Game of Thrones Book 4, A FEAST FOR CROWS, and have been working on that.  I also read NATE THE GREAT with my students (we're working on a mystery unit), and VAMPIRINA BALLERINA.

I learned that I'll be attending a conference in May put on my Stephen Krashen, the ELL guru.  I'm going with other teachers from my school, and my ELL counterparts in the county, so that should be really interesting.  I'm also hoping I'll be able to attend the Virginia State Reading Association Conference in April (I *may* have to present our list of books!)

Also, if anybody knows how to resize a header in blogger, shoot me an email (, tweet me (@maestra_amanda) or leave a comment.  This one is just way too big, and it bugs me that I can't figure out how to make it long enough without having it to be so wide!

This past week's posts:
February 18:  It's Monday! post
February 19:  Teen Author Boot Camp---guest post and giveaway  (Currently, no entrants, so you stand a VERY GOOD chance of winning!)
February 21:  Thursday #thirstday
February 23:  If I had $100

Since Dr. Seuss' birthday is Saturday, I thought I'd dedicate this week to him and share mine and my student's favorite Dr. Seuss books, my pinterest board dedicated to all things Seussical, and anything else I find that is Seuss-related!

This week:
Feb. 25:  It's Monday! post
Feb: 26:  My favorite Dr. Seuss book

Feb. 27:  My student's favorite Dr. Seuss books
Feb. 28:  Thursday #thirstday ; {Deep Thoughts}:  A Feast for Crows
March 1:  Dr. Seuss on Pinterest
March 2:  If I had $100

What are you reading?
