Rain/Snow/Ice/Amanda has a day off, so you get updates, part 2

My heart goes out to the people of New York and New Jersey (and really, anyone affected by Sandy).  The images online and on Good Morning America are so devastating (the one that got me the most was of the nurses/hospital workers evacuating the NICU babies).

If you would like to make a donation to help those in need, please, text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10.

All that being said, its time for updates!

I saw this picture and had to laugh!  From Google image search for "Frankenstorm pictures"
7:30---I took my dog out, and it was icing.  Nice little balls of ice.  Wasn't sticking to the ground though.  We are still under a severe weather alert for high winds, the western side of my mountains are experiencing blizzard like conditions.

8:30---chili in the crockpot.  House smells awesome.

9:30---a friend who lives in the next county north (Shenandoah), also where I teach, posted a picture on Facebook of it snowing there.  I get a text from another colleague asking if I thought we'd go tomorrow.  In looking at the local weather map, it looks like I may be getting some snow soon, too!  The Carlton Dance paid off!

2:30---Aaron and I drove up to school because my objectives are due tomorrow and I hadn't inputted them into the system yet.  After that, we took a drive around the county to see what it looked like.  It's snowing on the mountains on both sides of us.
I hope this means we'll be off again tomorrow, too.
