Review: There was an old lady who swallowed a bell!

That old lady, she just swallows everything!  In this installment of the rhyming series by Lucille Colandro and illustrated by Jared Lee, she swallows Christmas-y things, including: a bell, bows, gifts, a sack, a sleigh, some reindeer, and a treat.

 My students and I love this series of books for many reasons, mainly the humor, the HILARIOUS illustrations and the rhyme.  For a beginning or struggling reader, that rhyme and pattern is so important.  Also important is the repetition of the verses---kids really only need to think about the new addition.
