In My Mailbox is a weekly posting hosted by Kristi, The Story Siren, in which you post about the books (or bookish swag) you somehow got your hands on that week.
I call this post "Its almost Turkey Dressing Tuesday" because my absolute favorite school lunch is held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (and often before Christmas and in January, too....sometimes) Our lunch ladies load us up with turkey, dressing balls, gravy, mashed potatoes and sometimes HOMEMADE pie! My lunch ladies are awesome, which is important because I don't always want to pack my lunch. But, Turkey Dressing Day is a day that I never miss!
Anyway, this week I got:
From the library:
Happy Pig Day by Mo Willems
Katie Woo has the Flu by Fran Manushkin
Fly Guy vs The Flyswatter! by Tedd Arnold
(Cybils nominees)
From NetGalley:
The Gathering Storm: The Katerina Trilogy 1 by Robin Bridges
The Whole Story of Half a Girl by Veera Hiranandani
(both Debut Author Challenge books!)
From the publisher, Albert Whitman and Company (thank you!)
-Vampire School: Casketville Capers (*Cybils nominee)
-Vampire School: Ghoul Trip
(Both by Peter Bentley and Chris Harrison)
