This week was a bountiful book week, I got some books from the library, was loaned one by a friend, and purchased a few. I also got some cool swag (and so can you, I'll tell you how!) So, here you go!
Borrowed:
From the library: I Am Number Four
From a friend: The Poisonwood Bible
Purchased:
I also purchased "The Strange Case of Origami Yoda" by Tom Angleberger, but its at school right now as I'm reading it aloud to my students.
Judy Schachner, Gary Paulson, Tom Angelberger (and others) are going to be at the Virginia State Reading Association (VSRA) Conference next week, and I'm going to see if I can get them to sign my copies!
Cool Swag: From author Kiki Hamilton---if you email her, she will send you some really cool signed bookmarks featuring the cover of her soon to be released book, "The Faerie Ring". You can visit her blog here
See you next week!
I'm on the wait list with my libaray for I am number four. Enjoy your books.

I am Number Four was great! I hope you like it! Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little worried about I am #4, but only because the author (Pitticus Lore) is really James Frey---the guy that lied to Oprah about his memoir. But, personal issues aside, it looks really good!
ReplyDeleteI really need to read I Am Number Four! I haven't seen the movie yet either :(.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy 13 Little Blue Envelopes like I did!
And in answer to your comment: Thank you thank you thank you once again :D. I did a little happy dance when I opened it! I hope to get to it very soon :).
I haven't read I Am Number Four, but I have to before seeing the movie
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, even if that means I have to wait until it comes out on video. I just won't watch the movie first.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip about the Fairy Ring swag--just got mine from Kiki yesterday. Very Cool. Can't wait for the book now!
