Blog Hop

I seem to see a "blog hop" every week, so this week I wanted to join in the fun!

This week's blog hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy for Books
Book Blogger Hop

The rules are simple:

1.  Enter your book blog link in the Linky List  on
2. Post about the Hop on your blog.  Spread the word about the book party!  The more the merrier!  In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!).
The Question of the Week is:
"Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?"

And my answer:  I've already changed it!  I had a really hard time thinking of a name when I first started my blog---it seemed like all the "cool" ideas I had were already taken!  Thankfully, That-Book-Lady was available.  And then I saw on Twitter that someone else was already "That Book Lady" (and I felt bad).  My pre-k students always called me "Maestra Amanda", and I liked it (its my twitter handle and my husband recently got it embroidered on my 31 purse lunchbag), so its followed me around.  Maestra Amanda's bookshelf is simple, yet its me.

  1. What’s in a name? Everything! A name is a label, a description and a promise. I’m very happy with mine – “Howard Sherman, Implementor” but it was quite a journey to get there.

Hop on over to my blog and find out why –

    Howard Sherman

  2. Hello! I found you through the hop!
For me, I won’t change my blog name. For me, the blog name holds the identity of the blog and the blogger. I’ve been blogging for more than a year now. I’m used to it.

    Here’s my post:

I’d like to invite you over to my blog as I share the love with YA giveaways! They end on Feb. 28. I hope you drop by!
Thank you and have a nice weekend!

  3. I love that your title is simple, but you. That's awesome! Mine's pretty lame-o. I've lived with it for 5 years, though, so it's here to stay!

  4. Hi! I'm a new follower from the Hop! I like your blog name. It's unique. When I was trying to come up with a name I named my blog "The Book Owl" first; but when I started looking around, it was already used and, like you, I felt bad. So, I changed it. :) Have a great weekend!
