The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

 Saturday afternoon I was flipping through the stations and happened to find playing on IFC the movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and decided to watch.  Now, I love this movie.  I think its hilarious.  I love the humor, I love how it comes about in the end, and it has Zooey Dechanel (one of my favorite actresses).

It got me thinking though...as much as I love the movie, I could just not get into the book.  I bought it when the movie first came out, and I've tried to read it about once a year since then.  I have never been able to finish it.

Does anyone else have that problem?  Do you have a book thats been made into a movie that you just can't get into?  Or a book that you prefer the movie version of more?
