{25 Days of Holiday Book Reviews}: A Bonus Day! My students' favorite books

As a writing prompt one day, I asked my students to write about their favorite holiday books (oh I'm so mean!) with the hopes of sharing some of their responses with you.  I thought some of them were really cute, but actually had 25 different friends sign up, so I didn't need to use this as one of the 25 day posts, so today is BONUS DAY! 

Book:  Too Many Tamales

Why do you like it:  There are too many tamales

My favorite part is:  When the childs eat the tamales

My least favorite part is:  When she help to make the tamales.

Why do you like it:  The Grinch is my favorite character

My favorite part is:   When he puts the antlers on the dog 

My least favorite part is:  When he gets nice

Book:  The Carpenter's Gift 

Why do you like it:   because it is good.  It has a good star made out of newspaper (on the cover) 

My favorite part is:  all of it! 

My least favorite part is:  (left blank b/c she liked it all)

Book:  There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bell! 

Why do you like it:  The old lady

My favorite part is:  When the old lady swallowed some gifts
