Quick Check: How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell

 

One of the teachers I work with (and do inclusion with) asked me to read How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell so that I could discuss with the students. 

I'll be honest, it took me a little to get into the book, but once I did, I really enjoyed it.  I have a feeling that the kiddos will really enjoy this and we'll get some good discussions about it--not just the surface stuff, like the epic dragon battle, but the below the surface stuff, like Hiccup being bullied and put down and how he deals with it.

I've been told though that book 2 (How to Be a Pirate) is even better.  We'll have to see :)
