Sunday, when I saw Jillian Heise's tweet and blog post about her and Brian Wyzlic being sister classrooms, it got me thinking. I've been thinking for a while that I'd like to get my kids penpals or something, but I just never remember or its summer or when I get on ESL-specific websites the class makeup is a lot different than mine (level, age, etc).
So, this is my plea: If you teach ESL/ESOL/ELL or a resource class in elementary school and would like to sister-up, please let me know! I'd love to have not only a teacher to bounce ideas off of, but to help foster relationships for my students.
I sent this to the teachers I know to see if they would be interested!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really appreciate that!

Hope you find one-it sounds like a great idea! I don't teach ELL-just 4 classes of US history. :)

http://uclass.org/ United Classrooms is a great website to link classrooms across the world. I'm still trying to figure out how I want to use it (4th grade ELL), but am looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI would also be interested in connecting our classes. I work in an elementary school with 9 ELL teachers, so I'm sure I could find someone to pair you up with if our classes didn't mesh.
That would be awesome! My email is amandakfurman@gmail.com , we can chat about our specifics ;)
