In My Mailbox 16: Happy Memorial Day

In my mailbox is a weekly posting hosted by Kristi, The Story Siren, where you post whatever books you've gotten in the mail, downloaded, borrowed or bought that week.

Another banner week for books at my house!

I downloaded two books thanks to Simon & Schuster's GalleyGrab program.  Charlie MaSheen (my iPad) is very happy.  The books I downloaded were:
Wildefire by Karsten Knight
The Secret Prince by Violet Haberdasher  (though I have to read Knightly Academy first, and I'm a-ok with that!)

I also was able to download Steven George and the Dragon by Nathan Everett because I participated in Armchair BEA.

I borrowed from our local library:
Mirror, Mirror by Marilyn Singer
Bad News for Outlaws by Vaunda Micheaux Nelson
The Sixty-eight Rooms by Marianne Malone
A Nest for Celeste by Henry Cole
The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo
Turtle in Paradise by Jennifer Holm
Bones by Steve Jenkins
Storyteller by Patricia Reilly Giff

and from a friend, I borrowed
Sir Fartsalot Hunts the Giant Booger by Kevin Bolger (ha!)

I made my second trip to the Green Valley Book Fair and bought books for my students as well as
Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John for myself.

What was in your mailbox?

  2. I thought I was being smart and put a bunch on hold that I needed to read for that committee, except for they all came in this week!
